Sheila Delimont
Sheila is known for painting the landscape of her native California and the West. These paintings hang in private collections from Atlanta to Australia and Cape Cod to Pebble Beach, including the collection of Clint and Dina Eastwood. She paints primarily in pastels to capture the luminous quality of the Western light. Her studio is in the historic Pacific Grove Art Center in Pacific Grove, California.
Prior to establishing herself as an artist, Sheila had a distinguished career as a city and county planner. Her work on open space and resource conservation issues won numerous regional and national planning awards. Her love and respect for nature are now being translated into her paintings.
Sheila has been featured in the American Artist Magazine Studios Edition; on the cover of California Landscape Painters, 2010; and in California Landscape Painters, 2011. Her paintings have been exhibited at Venture Gallery, Monterey; Gallery North, Carmel; Natsoulas Gallery, Davis (Sacramento); Galeria Tonantzen, San Juan Bautista; the Pacific Grove Art Center, Pacific Grove; the Los Gatos Museum, Los Gatos; the Triton Museum, Santa Clara; and the Yosemite Museum, Yosemite Valley.
