Art happenings this fall:

John Natsoulas Center for the Arts

Three of Sheila's pastel paintings have been selected for the California Landscape and Plein Aire Show and Conference being held at the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, California.  The show will hang from September 1st to September 25th and the opening reception is September 4th from 7 - 9 pm. Sheila's painting, "Spring Storm," is on the cover of the book, California Landscape Painters, published in conjunction with the exhibit. 

Gallery North

Gallery North relocated to a new, larger gallery at the corner of Dolores Street and Sixth Avenue in Carmel, California. The gallery participates in Art Live on Dolores which features "Demos and Delights on Saturday Night" on the first Saturday of each month.  During the open house, an artist completes a painting between 6 pm and 8pm.  Sheila demonstrated  pastel painting on August 7.

Venture Gallery

Sheila will be a featured gallery artist in November and December with a special exhibit of her paintings.

Triton Museum

The Triton Museum's gift store in Santa Clara, California, is now selling Sheila's notecards and prints of her paintings.

Open Studios

Sheila will be participating in the Monterey County Artists Studio Tour on September 25 - 26 from 11 am to 5 pm.  Studio Tour receptions will be held from 7 - 9 pm on September 10th and September 24th at the Pacific Grove Art Center, 568 Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove, California.

Sheila is relocating her studio from Cannery Row to the Pacific Grove Art Center, Studio 15, and the Studio Tour will be held at her new location.

Studio Artists' Group Show

The studio artists in the Pacific Grove Art Center will have a special exhibit of their work from September 4th through October 28th at the Art Center.  The opening reception is Friday evening, September 10 from 7-9 pm.

 American Artist Magazine Studios Edition 

Sheila's studio is featured in the Studios Edition of American Artist Magazine which is currently on news stands nationwide. The full page story has photos of her studio and includes tips for organizing a studio/gallery space.  Private studio tours can be arranged by contacting Sheila by email.

Artist News

A new book, Sheila Delimont, Callifornia Landscapes, showcases Sheila's paintings. Her painting,  Fall in the Foothills, was juried into the Los Gatos Art Association's 25th Annual Open Juried Statewide Show. The show hung from April 2 to May 1 at the Art Museum of Los Gatos. 

Fall in the Foothills was also juried into the Pastels U.S.A International Exhibition which hung at the Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, CA from July 25 until September 27, 2009. The exhibit was sponsored by the Pastel Society of the West Coast and featured pastel artists from across the United States and Canada.
